Upside-Down Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 can cherry filling
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream together 1/2 cup sugar and margarine.
    Blend in flour, baking powder and salt.
    Gradually add milk, mixing well.
    (Don't worry about lumps.)
    Spread batter in greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Distribute cherries evenly over batter.
    Pour on cherry liquid.
    Sprinkle cherries with remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until light brown.
