Barbecue Shredded Beef - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. chuck roast
3 tsp. salt
water
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
dash of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic
1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
Preparation

Cook meat until very tender in a small amount of water to which 3 teaspoons salt has been added.
While meat is cooking, make sauce.
Melt shortening and add onion; cook until tender but not brown.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
Shred beef and add to sauce.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Makes 10 to 12 sandwiches.
