Kraft Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. very dry cheese curds
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. hot cream
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Work soda in
    the
    dry
    cheese
    curds.
    Melt butter in pan. Add cheese curds;
    stir
    constantly until cheese is melted and smooth.
    Add the hot cream, a
    little at a time.
    Add salt last. Pour in box or pan suitable for
    slicing.
    Cheese
    making
    is delicate and does not always turn out.
    We
    found
    this
    recipe good
    as a spreading cheese when it didn't get slicing consistency.
