Caramel Cakewiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Cool Whip
    1 large banana, sliced
    1/2 pkg. vanilla caramels (about 1 1/4 c.)
    1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk (2/3 c.)
    3 to 4 drops bitters
    6 slices pound cake
Preparation
    Fold banana into Cool Whip.
    Chill.
    Combine caramels with milk.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until caramels are melted; stir in bitters.
    To serve, top cake slices with banana mixture, then with warm caramel sauce.
    Makes 6 servings.
