Chocolate Amaretto Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. unsalted butter
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. Amaretto
    powdered sugar (optional)
    maraschino cherries (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    With Crisco shortening, grease Bundt pan. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; set aside.
    Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg yolks, extracts and cocoa; beat until smooth.
    Add sifted ingredients alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Gently blend in egg whites.
    Add Amaretto.
    Mix well until creamy.
    Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until done.
    Let cake stand in pan 20 to 30 minutes and then invert onto wire rack.
    Top cooled cake with sifted powdered sugar.
    Add cherries on top for final holiday touch.
