Torte Pie Crust - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. finely crushed saltines (approximately 14)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Beat egg whites and vanilla until foamy.
Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Mix together nuts, cracker crumbs and baking powder.
Fold into the egg whites.
Spread into a well-greased 9-inch pie plate, building up the sides.
Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until dry on outside.
Serve with strawberries and whipped cream or serve with strawberry pie filling.
