Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Karo light corn syrup
    1/2 c. dark brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    12 medium sweet potatoes, cooked, peeled and halved lengthwise
Preparation
    Bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes until thickening consistency.
    Pour half into a large, shallow baking dish.
    Add potatoes and top with remaining syrup.
    Sprinkle brown sugar on top of this.
    Add dots of butter and some lemon wedges, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes, basting often.
