Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. cut raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. strained hot thick applesauce (unsweetened)
Preparation

Sift the flour once; add baking powder, soda, salt and spices and sift together three times.
Cream butter thoroughly.
Add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add egg, raisins and nuts and beat well.
Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce a small amount at a time.
Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
