Refried Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pinto beans
1/2 c. lard
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Wash and drain beans.
Soak overnight.
Drain and rinse.
Add salt and lard.
Cook slowly with water to cover beans on medium heat until tender.
Add water, if needed.
When tender, drain and save liquid.
Mash the beans.
If beans are too dry when mashing, add some reserved liquid.
