1 loaf French bread
1/2 lb. thinly sliced Swiss cheese
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 medium onion, minced
2 Tbsp. poppy seed
1 tsp. paprika
Preparation

Cut French bread into slices but not through bottom crust. Insert thin slice of cheese between each.
Melt margarine; combine with minced onion and poppy seed.
Pour over top of bread. Sprinkle with paprika.
Wrap loosely in foil leaving open at top. Heat in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese melts. Serves 6 to 8.
