Danish Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round beef, cubed
    3/4 c. thin sliced onions
    salt and pepper
    2 1/2 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 small bay leaves
    3 Tbsp. flour
    5 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Brown cubes and onions.
    Add salt, 2 1/2 cups cold water, sugar and bay leaves.
    Cover.
    Simmer 1 1/4 hours.
    Remove bay leaves.
    Stir in flour and water mixture.
    Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
