Penny'S Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 oz. bag frozen mixed vegetables
    2 c. chopped, peeled potatoes
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 pt. green beans
    1 lb. extra lean ground beef*
    1/2 gal. tomato juice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. garlic
    1 tsp. basil flakes
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
Preparation
    In large pot with a little water, simmer vegetables and onion. While vegetables are cooking, drop small ground beef balls into boiling water in a separate pot.
    When vegetables are tender; drain meat balls and add to mixed vegetables.
    Add juice, spices, sugar and salt; simmer together 45 minutes to blend flavors. Makes a large pot of soup.
