Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. coconut (reserve 1/4 c. for topping)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    cold water
    baked pie crust
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar and cornstarch together with enough cold water to make paste.
    Heat milk to boiling.
    Add egg mixture and cook until thick.
    Remove from heat and add 3/4 cup coconut, butter and vanilla.
    Pour into pie crust and top with meringue and remaining coconut.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
