Four-Three-Two-One Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, separated
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks with 1 cup sugar.
    Beat shortening and other cup of sugar.
    Combine and add 1/2 cup flour.
    Sift flour and baking powder together.
    Add the milk and flour alternately.
    Then add the stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Makes 4 layers.
    Bake in greased and floured pans at 350\u00b0 until done.
