1 large head of cabbage
1/2 C butter
1/4 C flour
1 1/2 C milk
1/2 to 3/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
Browned bread crumbs, or croutons

Coarsely slice cabbage, Steam in small amount of water for about 10 minutes. Drain well.
