Crunchy Crust Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Beat well.
    Add flavoring.
    Add flour.
    Beat well.
    Pour into a greased tube pan.
    Start in cold oven.
    Bake 60 to 90 minutes at 300\u00b0.
