Russian Honey Spice Cake - cooking recipe

2 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. honey
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. sliced almonds (or other nuts)
Preparation

Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Beat eggs thoroughly in a small bowl.
Add sugar and stir well. Pour flour into a large bowl.
Add egg mixture and baking soda; stir well.
Add honey and mix for 10 minutes.
Stir in raisins. Pour dough into pan; level it out and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick stuck in the middle of cake comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream or jam.
