Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
48 Hershey Kisses or Brach's stars

Preparation

Combine first 7 ingredients until creamy.
Add flour, soda and salt.
Shape dough into balls.
Roll in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Top each cookie with a \"Kiss\" or star chocolate candy and press down firmly.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
