Chuck'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. steak (beef, pork or venison)
    1 large onion
    1 large green pepper
    2 to 3 cloves garlic
    1/4 tsp. cumin
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    2 cans beans (pinto or kidney)
    2 cans whole peeled tomatoes
    1 fresh jalapeno pepper
    salt and pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
    Texas Pete or Tabasco
Preparation
    Cut steak into cubes and small strips.
    Cube onion and green pepper.
    In a large frying pan, brown all the meat with 1/2 of the onion and green pepper over low heat.
    As the meat is browning, add chili powder, basil, celery seed and 1/2 of the garlic.
    Add salt, pepper and Texas Pete to taste.
    Also add cumin and cayenne pepper.
    Cut jalapeno into rings and add to meat as it cooks.
