Mama Dixon'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Crisco
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. cake flour
    8 Tbsp. whipping cream
    8 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with 3 tablespoons sugar until stiff.
    Cover and place in refrigerator.
    Cream Crisco and 2 2/3 cups sugar until light.
    Add egg yolks, 2 at a time.
    Add flour and whipping cream alternately to mixture.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
