Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 German chocolate cake mix
16 oz. caramels
1 c. chocolate chips
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. walnuts
Preparation

Prepare cake mix according to directions and add margarine. Put 1/2 batter in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
Bake 12 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk.
Takes 4 or 5 minutes in microwave.
Pour melted caramels over baked cake mixture.
Sprinkle chips and nuts over this.
Add remaining cake batter and spread over top.
Bake 30 minutes.
Serve plain or with whipped cream.
