Pecan Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. sweet butter (room temperature)
4 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
8 sq. bitter chocolate, melted
4 c. pastry flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
2 c. pecans, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 3 (9-inch) layer cake pans.
In a large bowl, cream the butter.
Gradually add the sugar; beat until fluffy.
Add the beaten eggs and melted chocolate.
Sift the dry ingredients; blend in alternately with the milk.
Add the nuts and vanilla.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake for 35 minutes, or until the center of the cake feels solid.
Cool and remove the layers from the pans.
Fill and frost.
