Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda, mixed in the buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 pt. fresh or frozen berries
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. juice from any fruit
Preparation
    Mix the first 7 ingredients like a cake; beat it.
    Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan or glass baking dish.
    Spread over it the berries, 1 cup sugar (if unsweetened) and juice from the fruit. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
