One Egg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter (room temperature)
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg, beating thoroughly.
    Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in 2 or 3 layer pans at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 25 minutes, depending on number of layers.
    Cool. Ice with Chocolate Caramel, Lemon Buttercream of Strawberry Seven Minute Icing.
