Oreo Dessert - cooking recipe

1 large pkg. Oreo cookies
1 (8 oz.) Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 stick margarine, softened
1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
3 c. cold milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In small bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and margarine. Mix well. Add Cool Whip and mix well. In larger bowl, combine pudding, milk and vanilla; mix until thickened. Add cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture. Crush cookies and spread half the bag on the bottom of 13 x 9 baking dish. Spread evenly. Spoon mixture on top of the Oreos and spread evenly, carefully not mixing cookies into the pudding mixture. Top with remaining crushed Oreos. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Must be kept refrigerated.
