Blond Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. nuts
    1/2 pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Sift flour once.
    Measure 1 cup.
    Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    Sift again.
    Set aside.
    Melt margarine; then add sugar and mix well.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add nuts.
    Turn into greased 9 inch square pan.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
    Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
