Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    1/2 c. sugar or less
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in lukewarm water
Preparation
    Mix
    soda
    and\tdissolved yeast in buttermilk.\tCombine with other
    ingredients\tand
    knead.
    Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on baking sheet.
    Let dough warm to room temperature (or may be placed in oven immediately).
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
