Super Bowl Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
    1 lb. lean ground pork
    2 (15 1/2 oz. each) cans hot chili beans or red kidney beans
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
    3 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    1 tsp. ground cumin
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    dairy sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    In a 4-quart Dutch oven, brown beef and pork.
    Drain off fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, onions, green pepper, garlic, chili powder, sugar, red pepper, vinegar and cumin.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring frequently to avoid scorching.
    To serve, ladle chili into soup bowls.
    If desired, top each serving with shredded cheese and sour cream.
    Makes 6 to 8 main dish servings.
