Cheese Buds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1 egg white, slightly beaten
    pecan halves
Preparation
    With mixer, blend cheese and butter.
    Sift flour and pepper. Gradually work into cream mixture with spoon.
    Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut into 1-inch rounds.
    Brush with egg white; top with pecans.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven preheated to 425\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 8 dozen.
