Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sour milk
    1 c. coarsely cut cooked prunes
Preparation
    Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan and line with wax paper.
    Beat shortening and sugar well.
    Add eggs and mix again.
    Sift dry ingredients and alternate flour and milk.
    Stir in prunes.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 12 servings.
