Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter
    2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Pop the corn and set aside in large roasting pan.
    Melt butter; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.
    Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla.
    Gradually pour hot caramel over popped corn, mixing well.
    Turn into two shallow roasting pans.
    Bake in 250\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven.
    Pour into bowl; toss and stir while cooling. Store in tightly covered container.
    Makes about 5 quarts caramel popped corn.
