Cream Chicken(Kay Honecker'S Mother'S Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/3 c. butter/margarine
    1/4 c. enriched flour
    1 1/2 c. canned chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. light cream
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 slightly beaten egg yolks
    3 c. cooked chicken
    1 (6 oz.) can (1 1/3 c.) sliced mushrooms, drained
Preparation
    Cook onion and butter until tender.
    Blend in flour, slowly stir in broth and cream.
    Add spices, cook and stir over medium heat until it thickens.
    Stir small amount hot mixture into egg yolks; return to hot mixture.
    Cook over low heat 1 minute.
    Add chicken and heat until hot throughout.
