Congo Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 box brown sugar (1 lb.)
    3 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small pkg. chocolate chips
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts or 1 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Mix well.
    Pour and shape flat onto one large cookie sheet. Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    When done, cool and cut into finger length bars.
