Rosie'S Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger or Italian sausage
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. cottage cheese
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion; drain.
    Add seasonings, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.
    Mix well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn heat to low; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Cook lasagna noodles in salted water for 10 to 13 minutes, or until tender.
    Drain; pour cold water over them until they are cool enough to handle.
    Combine cottage cheese and egg.
    Place 1/2 of noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Spread 1/2 of meat sauce over noodles, then 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture, then 1/2 of the Mozzarella cheese slices and sprinkle with 1/2 of Parmesan cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
