Coconut Huts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 dates
    1/2 lb. marshmallows
    1 small can drained crushed pineapple
    2 large pkg. vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. pecans
    Coconut
    Whipped cream
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine dates, marshmallows, pineapple, 12 of the vanilla wafers, crushed, and pecans.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until melted.
    Using the remaining wafers, stack them 3 deep with filling, (One wafer, filling, another wafer, more filling, another wafer and more filling).
    Cover with whipped cream and sprinkle with coconut.
    Store in refrigerator 24 hours to allow wafers to soften.
