High Peak Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. cornstarch
4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Beat egg whites, salt and vanilla until frothy.
Cook water, cornstarch and sugar together until clear and thickened. Gradually add to egg whites, beating all the while and beat at least 3 minutes after it's added or until egg whites stand in peaks.
Spread on pie and cook in oven as you do any other meringue on pies.
