Pineapple Pound Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 sticks butter or margarine
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 large eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. undrained pineapple with juice
Preparation

Cream together vegetable shortening, margarine and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Add small amount at a time to creamed mixture, alternating with the 1/4 cup milk.
Mix well. Add vanilla and undrained pineapple.
Blend well.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Place in cold oven.
Set temperature at 350\u00b0 and bake 1 1/2 hours or until done to the touch.
Remove from oven.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and pour icing over while still hot.
