Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (not margarine)
    1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 c. coarsely chopped almonds
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, melted
    1 c. finely chopped toasted almonds
Preparation
    In large saucepan, melt butter.
    Add sugar, syrup and water. Cook, stirring constantly, to hard crack (300\u00b0).
    Quickly stir in coarsely chopped almonds.
    Spread in well-greased 9 x 13-inch metal pan (no glass).
    Cool thoroughly; turn onto waxed paper. Spread with 1/2 melted chocolate.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 chopped almonds.
    Cover with wax paper; turn over and spread with rest of chocolate and sprinkle with nuts.
    Break into pieces after chocolate hardens.
