Sausage And Bean Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pork sausage
    2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    4 c. water
    2 (1 lb.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
    2 or 3 potatoes, cubed
    1 large bay leaf
    1/2 Tbsp. dried whole thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown the sausage, stirring to crumble and drain.
    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hour.
