Grandma Ruby'S Mystery Fruit Cake(Freezes Well) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 spice cake mix and all ingredients called for on box
1/3 c. peanut butter (smooth)
4 c. candied fruit or 2 lb.
1/3 lb. orange slices (jelly candy), chopped
1 1/2 c. raisins (2/3 lb.)
1 c. dates, chopped (1/2 lb.)
4 1/2 c. pecan halves (1 lb.) *
1 Betty Crocker fluffy frosting mix (cherry or white) and all ingredients called for on box
1/2 c. red maraschino cherries (for decoration only)
1/2 c. green maraschino cherries (for decoration only)

Preparation

*Save out about 1/2 cup for decoration.
