Alarm Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. extra lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    1 large green bell pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes, crushed
    1 Tbsp. oil
    2 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. cumin
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. baking cocoa
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. crushed hot pepper
    1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Preparation
    Cook ground beef in 2 1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until well done, stirring until crumbly.
    Remove ground beef with slotted spoon to paper towels to drain.
    Drain and wipe saucepan.
    Saute onion, garlic and green pepper with 1/2 cup tomatoes in oil in saucepan for 3 minutes.
    Add oregano, cumin, chili powder, cocoa, sugar, hot pepper and Tabasco sauce. Cook for 3 minutes.
    Add beans, ground beef and remaining tomatoes.
    Simmer for 25 minutes.
    Yield: 8 servings.
