Homemade Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 qt. tomato juice
    1 qt. tomato paste
    1/2 c. salt
    4 ground onions
    2 large peppers (green)
    6 ground carrots
    1 1/2 Tbsp. basil
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    2 bay leaves, crushed (optional)
    1 Tbsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    4 garlic cloves, ground or 1/2 tsp. minced
    3/4 c. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients in a large enameled canner or stainless steel.
    Cook until thick as you like, stirring to prevent burning or scorching.
    Seal in hot jars.
    Process in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
    Makes about 7 to 8 quarts.
