Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 green tomatoes (12 to 14 c., crushed)
    6 large onions
    4 red peppers
    4 green peppers
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. vinegar
    4 c. sugar (white)
Preparation
    Chop green tomatoes; place in drainer.
    Pour boiling water over tomatoes and let stand; drain.
    Chop onions and peppers. Combine tomatoes, onions and peppers in a large canner.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Turn down to a simmer and cook for about 1 hour.
    Pack in cleaned jars; seal with canning lid and process for 15 minutes.
    Makes about 7 to 9 pints.
