Icebox Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
4 beaten eggs
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. Bran Buds cereal in 2 c. boiling water
4 c. dry Bran Buds cereal (1 box Kellogg's All-Bran is 6 c.)
1 c. shortening
1 qt. buttermilk
5 tsp. baking soda
2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, buttermilk, Bran Buds in boiling water, flour, soda and salt; mix well.
Add dry Bran Buds and raisins.
Bake 15 minutes at 400\u00b0 in muffin tins.
(Texas size muffins, 20 minutes.)
Batter may be kept up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator in a covered container.
