Stuffed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large white onions
    3/4 c. chopped meat
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. catsup
    1/4 c. bread crumbs (fine)
Preparation
    Parboil onions about 15 minutes and drain.
    Mix meat, salt, pepper, shortening and catsup.
    Remove centers of onions and fill with meat mixture.
    Arrange in baking dish; cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove cover; sprinkle tops with crumbs.
    Dot with shortening and bake until brown.
