Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. buttermilk
3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 level tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs; beat well.
Sift flour, cocoa (or spices), soda, baking powder and salt together.
Add flour alternating with buttermilk.
Bake at 325\u00b0 until done, 30 to 40 minutes.
