Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. cherries
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream shortening and add 1 cup sugar.
    Add milk alternately with flour mixture; beat until smooth.
    Pour into greased baking dish.
    Mix cherries, 1 cup sugar and hot water.
    Pour over cake batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    For half recipe use half batter and all goo.
