White Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients in saucepan, gradually adding milk.
    Let cool completely, stirring occasionally.
    Cream together the shortening, butter and 1 cup sugar.
    Add the vanilla.
    Beat with mixer until glossy.
    Beat well or will be grainy.
    Frosts large 2-layer cake.
    Keeps for several weeks in refrigerator.
