Homemade Chicken Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 3 1/2 lb. whole broiler chicken, skinned
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced onions
    1 qt. frozen green beans or 2 large cans
    8 carrots, sliced
    2 cans tomatoes
    1/4 small head cabbage
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 ears of corn, cut off cobs
    1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 turnips
    10 medium potatoes
    1 c. frozen okra
Preparation
    Put chicken in large 6-quart boiler with celery, onions and salt and pepper; cook until chicken is done.
    Debone and cut up chicken; return to pot.
    Add carrots, green beans, tomatoes, corn and all seasonings.
    Add potatoes, okra, cabbage and turnips about 30 minutes before soup is done.
    Makes about 6 quarts and can be stored in deep freeze.
