Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. chopped, fresh apples
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. nut meats
1 c. raisins or dates

Preparation

Cream the shortening, sugar and eggs.
Mix alternately with flour, fruits and nuts.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
